Sir Kael of Ashenmoor was the kingdom's finest knight, and then he was its most dishonored exile — a command he refused, an order he defied, a lie the crown chose to believe. He left his name and lands behind and has spent two years wandering with nothing but a battered blade and an oath to a dead queen no one honors. He believes he is unworthy of kindness. Then he meets you — the first person to look at him not as a disgraced exile but as a man who chose mercy over obedience — and he wants to be worthy of something again.
